So tell us, what’s your current role at the ENTERTAINER?

I started in April 2019 as a Content Executive in the travel team. When I saw the role at the ENTERTAINER I was very excited to apply. I’m working much higher up in the content marketing funnel now and it’s a really varied and fun role and company to work for!

Tell us a little bit more about what's it like to work in the Travel division of the ENTERTAINER?

We are a small but mighty team within the ENTERTAINER. Everyone has a different role and we complement each other so well.

We've been super busy working the new Getaways launch - there is so much passion for this baby, it's been such an exciting time to join the team.

We also have team members in the Singapore and Kuala Lumpur offices - collaborations are not hindered by distance! We have a WhatsApp group which enables us to work efficiently as well as keep up with each other socially. We have an awesome product with amazing prices and exciting updates, so I look forward to continue to work with Oscar and the team on building awareness and making this a success!

What does your role involve within the Travel team?

I work with Oscar, Travel Marketing Manager. My job is mainly writing travel articles for the hub, from inspirational travel pieces to specific articles highlighting specific offers and flash sales.

These articles are then digitally shared through in app push notifications, direct email marketing and social media. The end goal is of course to get more hotel bookings both through the traditional ENTERTAINER 2for1 offers and through the direct search engine bookings.

What does a normal day at work look like?

I write on average 2 hub posts per week which are varied in terms of content.

I could be writing about Spa Hotels in Asia one day, to the top 5 chilled pools in Dubai, or Malta in 3 days. Then, I work with the creative, social media and CRM teams to help market the content to a wider audience.

What advice would you give someone considering a role in the Travel Team at the ENTERTAINER?

But then again, I’m slightly biased... 😜

Oh and you get great coffee!

What do you love most about working at the ENTERTAINER?

Without a doubt, the people! I love the great mix of people I am lucky to call colleagues. Though most companies like to call them selves multi cultural, I have not seen the celebration of diversity as I have seen here at the ENTERTAINER.

I’ve heard great things about the annual conference so I really look forward to the next one and to see even more colleagues from all over the world.

Outside of the ENTERTAINER, what do you get up to?

I have two daughters: Maya, 10 and Sarah, 6 who are my world. They are both very active so we try to do lots of fun family activities to tire them out. Theme parks, water parks, adventure parks, bouncing parks…you name the park and we will have done it! We love to travel and expose our girls to different cultures and of course visiting family in Jordan, Sweden and UK takes a chunk of my holiday allowance.
